Small grants of up to $1000 are available to Landcare and community groups, as well as local governments, for activities that build community capacity in Natural Resource Management (NRM).
Expressions of Interest are currently open and close 30 May 2017 or when all funds have been allocated.
Please contact Sharon Upston on (08) 9724 2421 or at firstname.lastname@example.org for a copy of the Expression of Interest form and Guidelines.
Funding is available to support community groups to hold events and for individual community members to attend events or training during the 2016/17 financial year. It is a rolling assessment process with each Expression of Interest assessed as it is received and on its own merit. EOIs can be submitted at any time before May 2017 but the activity needs to occur before the end of June 2017. Groups and individuals must be based in the South West Catchments Council NRM Region to be eligible to apply.
The event and/or training must have a sustainable agriculture outcome or focus and must address one or more of the Australian Government’s outcomes:
For any queries or to discuss your ideas, please contact one of the South West Regional Landcare Facilitators; Monica Durcan (9781 3118, email@example.com) or Peter Clifton (9724 2469, firstname.lastname@example.org)
Community Groundworks funding is designed to facilitate locally driven, on-ground focused projects, which will deliver National Landcare Programme outcomes. Three funding rounds have been released so far, to support local environmental management priorities and to engage local communities across the South West NRM Region.
