SWCC is currently calling for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from community groups, Local Government and private land managers who want to undertake on-ground activities that address Australian Government targets (as laid out in the Caring for our Country (CfoC) Business Plan 2011-13), during the 2011-13 period.
The EOI form and Guidelines are available from the funding page, as are SWCC’s On-ground Investment Guidelines, which we recommend you read carefully prior to submitting your EOI. If you would like more information about the targets we are investing in, the CfoC Business Plan is available from www.nrm.gov.au.
If your EOI is approved for further development, a SWCC staff member will contact you to invite you to develop your proposal further. SWCC staff, or your local Landcare/Environment Officer can assist in this process, which includes undertaking a site visit, and developing a project plan. Once your project plan has been developed, the project is ready to go to the assessment stage.
As this on-ground funding process is a rolling process (whereby you can submit EOIs at any time, subject to funding availability), the assessments will take place monthly.
A calendar of assessment dates and due dates for the submission of your project plans is available from the funding page. If you are unable to submit your project plan by your target assessment date, you have the ability to submit it to one of the following assessments.
We have already had a fantastic response to the funding from the community so far, with over 70 EOIs submitted to date. Thank you for your participation and we look forward to working with you to facilitate more great on-ground outcomes in the South West over the coming years!
