GeoCatch

The Geographe Catchment Council – GeoCatch – was established in July 1997 as a result of growing concern about the health of the Geographe Catchment.

The Council’s Mission is to work with the community and all levels of government in order to coordinate the management of the catchment of Geographe Bay and its marine environment so that natural systems, people and their activities co-exist in a healthy, productive and sustainable way.

GeoCatch supports and assists initiatives, particularly on-ground works, aimed at rehabilitating and protecting natural resources and promoting sustainable landuse in the catchment.

GeoCatch is providing leadership through integrating and coordinating management activities across the catchment. Additionally GeoCatch has an educational, advisory and research role.

GeoCatch, while being sponsored by the Department of Water, has a strong local community base and depends on significant community input reinforced by multiple agency expertise.

Visit the GeoCatch website for more information.
