Innovation on Farms

Innovation on Farms Project

The 2013-18 Innovation on Farms (IoF) project aims to engage with farming and fishing industries across the south west region to run a number of larger-scale trials that are focused on innovative farming practices for improved natural resource management.

We currently have 10 projects across 23 farms that are targeted, farmer driven, involving high levels of monitoring and have a significant focus on extending information and communication to facilitate the progression from proof of concept to wider practice change and adoption.

Trials are collaborative in nature and pull from the expertise of a wide range of sources. Case studies (or You Tube videos) and technical reports will be produced for each trial, and extension activities such as field days and workshops will be held where appropriate.
