New research has revealed Western Australia’s Aboriginal tourism businesses made a significant contribution to WA’s economy last year.
In 2016-17 the Aboriginal tourism sector added more than $43.8 million to Gross State Product (GSP) and supported 340 full-time equivalent jobs.
In addition to the significant impact on the WA economy, the research also focused on the multiple social benefits that Aboriginal tourism presents, such as employment opportunities, strengthening pride and bringing different cultures together.
