Get involved in the Discovery Circle’s latest citizen science project Cat Tracker Australia to find out where your cat roams!
The project will help scientists learn more about cats, their behaviour and their relationships with their owners.
There are two parts to the project – you can simply complete an online survey about cats, or you can volunteer a cat to be tracked.
- Online Survey – open to anyone aged 16+ in Australia. You don’t even have to own a cat!
- Tracking cats with GPS units – we plan to track about 1400 cats around Australia. You can volunteer your cat for tracking. We will select the cats that will be tracked but can not guarantee yours will be chosen. Cat tracking will commence on February 1, 2018. To volunteer your cat you must FIRST complete the online survey.
