Carbon Farming & Land Restoration Program

The State Government’s $15 million Carbon Farming and Land Restoration Program (CF-LRP) aims to realise agriculture’s potential to sequester carbon in the landscape and contribute to growing the WA carbon market. Projects will deliver environmental, social and economic co-benefits, and contribute to the long-term sustainability of the farming industry.

The second round of CF-LRP funding will be available in the coming months so now is the time to start planning your projects. To assist with this planning phase, the State Government is offering vouchers of up to $10,000 for farmers to access support in developing Land Management Strategies. Farmers are required to contribute $1,000 towards the voucher. These Land Management Strategies will assist you to get the information you need to decide if carbon farming is for you, and which option is best for your circumstances.

South West Catchments Council is available to assist with the development of Land Management Strategies specific to carbon farming. This Land Management Strategy is a prerequisite and condition to the funding and submission of a grant application. If you’d like to register your interest, please complete the form below and a representative will be in touch.
