Perth NRM: World Soil Day – Digging Into Soil Biodiversity

Join Perth NRM for a farmer-specific, family friendly celebration of World Soil Day at the Muresk Institute in Northam. We are anticipating some important announcements about improving soil health in our growing regions, and we’ll be hearing from working farmers about initiatives they’re already implementing. There will be field walks in the Muresk paddocks and the opportunity to examine your BYO soils under the microscope with specialists in soil biology on hand to discuss your findings.
This event is supported by funding from the Western Australian Government’s State NRM Program. The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development is also supporting this event with a range of resources including a soil pit and free soil science activities for the kids.
Perth NRM acknowledges DPIRD’s coordinated and collaborative effort to celebrate the great work of West Australian farmers.
