CPD Bushfire Fundraiser – Climate Change Lecture

UWA Law School in partnership with the Law Society of Western Australia and supported by the Western Australian legal profession and The Unviersity Club of Western Australia, are pleased to host this Continuing Professional Development (CPD) event, raising money for the Australian Red Cross bush fire relief fund.
Associate Professor David Hodgkinson, an expert in climate change law, will deliver the lecture. The lecture will provide background to climate change law and policy in Australia. It will also consider current efforts to establish regulatory mechanisms to address the climate change problem and examine the relationship between climate change and bushfires, considering Australia specifically.
Speaker Bio
David Hodgkinson advises clients (airlines, corporations and governments) around the world on all aspects of aviation and aerospace law, including both commercial and regulatory matters. He is also currently an Associate Professor (part-time) at the University of Western Australia Law School, where he teaches aviation law.
All money raised from this event will be donated to the Australian Red Cross bushfire relief fund.
