Environmental Planning Tool (EPT) Training Session

Learn how to use WALGA’s online mapping and reporting tool at a FREE training session that will demonstrate the Strategic Purpose Permits for clearing of native vegetation and use of the EPT to support various regulatory requirements including planning in Bushfire Prone Areas.

Participants can join one or both of the following training sessions:

9:30am to 11:40pm: Participants will learn to use the EPT to determine the suitability of a strategic purpose permit for clearing of native vegetation for minor infrastructure projects. Various scenarios will be discussed. A representative from the Department of Environment Regulation will be available to explain the regulatory process.

12:00pm to 1:00pm: Participants will be provided with a demonstration and take part in a practice session on the use of the EPT to undertake a range of assessments, including classification of bushfire prone vegetation and generation of Bushfire Attack Level contours.

Attendees are encouraged to bring along a laptop. Alternatively you are welcome to join in via a live webinar. When registering, please note your dietary requirements, whether you are able to bring a laptop or if you will join in via webinar.
