Join Lower Blackwood LCDC for their next ‘Talkin’ After Hours’ event: Get To Know Your Underground Livestock.
“An incredible diversity of organisms live under our feet. They range in size from the tiniest one-celled bacteria, to the visible earthworms, insects & small vertebrates. As these organisms eat, grow, and move through the soil, they make it possible to have healthy soil & healthy plants.
Presented by Bee Winfield from Merri Bee Organic Farmacy, our next Talkin’ After Hours gives participants an insight into:
- the important role these weird & wonderful creatures play within the ‘soil food web’,
- a ‘down the microscope’ look at some of them in the soil, and
- some tips on how to nurture & grow this buried treasure.
