Johne’s Beef Assurance Score
15 June, 2017 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
The Johne’s Beef Assurance Score (J-BAS) was developed to assess the risk of Bovine Johne’s Disease occurring on a property.
Participation is voluntary, but some buyers require producers to have a J-BAS.
Most properties were given the highest score of 8 in 2016. To maintain this score, producers need to meet several requirements, described here.
To find out if you should maintain your score and whether you should get an on-farm Biosecurity Plan in place by June 30 2017, SWCC is facilitating a face to face meeting (detailed below) followed by a video conference through the local CRC network from 1:30pm to 2:30pm on 15 June 2017 for those that can’t get to Nannup.
To get your local CRC (Community Resource Centre) involved in the video conference, call Peter Clifton on 0448 939 313 or email [email protected]
