MLA – WA Pasture & Livestock Update – Wagin

Take a tour of the White family’s paddocks to find out more about the different pasture options they’ve introduced into their mixed farming systems. The variety of pastures include lucerne, chicory, sub clover, balansa cover, messina, forage oats and Anameka saltbush.
In the afternoon you’ll hear from Clayton South and Paul Omodei about how to drive the profitability of livestock within a mixed farming system; Phil Nichols from DAFWA about the different types of pasture varieties; and Richard Apps from MLA about what is happening in the research and development space.
