River of Discovery event

During the last five years, important discoveries, investigations and activities have occurred along the Warren and Donnelly Rivers. Warren Catchments Council is hosting an educational event to present these findings – commencing on Wednesday 10th May 2017 and concluding on Thursday 11th May.
The Warren and Donnelly Rivers Restoration Project has seen the discovery of new pathogens responsible for killing blackberry infestations. Project activities undertaken by various partners include a detailed investigation of riparian vegetation complexes, genetic study of riparian plant systems, LiDAR interpretation of flood plain complexities and the planting of 600,000 local plants to restore these riparian zones.
