Good Management for Happy Soils

Soil is remarkably complex. Participants will learn how to maintain soil structure and protect their soil from the forces of erosion. Ultimately this workshop will help participants maintain property value. The workshop will help you get to know your soil and identify what landuses are suitable.
Living Soils are Productive Soils

Learn more about how the combined factors – physical, nutritional and biological – create soil that is a living, productive organism. Management strategies to create root-friendly soil will be outlined. A healthy soil reduces stress on the owner and the plant – and saves on input costs. Soil health assessment techniques using readily constructed equipment will be demonstrated to assist you to establish a baseline for your soil’s health. A course booklet will set out basic soil health information and links to more resources.
