Water Sensitive Cities Speaker Series: Water Sensitive Communities – Messages to Better Communicate

18 August, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Join Linda Tagni, Business Director, Metrix Consulting to learn more about the need to better engage the community in developing and delivering the vision for a water sensitive city is critical.  Currently, a variety of organisations are working within this space to build the community’s knowledge and hopefully enhance their desire to demonstrate water sensitive behaviours, but what messages are most effective?  How do we best engage the public to demand water sensitive places to live?

This presentation will share the results of market research funded by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions on behalf of the Water Sensitive Transition Network. The research aimed to explore the community’s understanding of what it means to be part of a water sensitive city and identify the types of messages that are likely to be more effective in communicating the vision and eliciting positive behaviour change.

So come along and hear the results. The findings might surprise you!It is hoped that we can all start to use common messages that resonate better with the community, so we can build their capacity to become water sensitive citizens.
