On Tuesday, 27 February SWCC submitted a Tender as part of the $450-million Regional Land Partnerships component of the National Landcare Program Phase Two.
Together with our key partner organisations and with the support of our communities, we drafted a plan to protect and restore priority Threatened Ecological Communities (TECs), Threatened Species, and Ramsar wetlands across the South West Region.
We also developed innovative projects to support the productive and sustainable use of our valuable soil and water resources for agriculture.
Success will mean we will be the preferred supplier for the delivery of Landcare services to the Australian Government for the South West Management Unit for the next five years, in partnership with the community and other key stakeholders.
We are immensely proud of what we have presented to the Australian Government and feel it makes a strong case for ongoing investment in NRM in our Region.
We would like to extend a massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who contributed to the development of this tender.
Just like you, we are eagerly anticipating the Regional Land Partnerships Preferred Suppliers announcement, which is expected to be made on Monday, 7 May 2018.
