Responsible cat ownership in Busselton

(via GeoCatch)

Kitty Cat School came to Busselton for all cat owners wanting to give their cat a healthy, happy and enriched life. Similar to puppy school, Kitty Cat School connects cat owners with expert cat behaviourists and local vets to provide the best available cat care advice.

“This was the FIRST TIME I’ve had the opportunity to learn more about being a cat owner!” This feedback from one happy cat owner after our inaugural Kitty Cat School last month.

Cat owners learnt about cat health, emotional needs and behaviour, as well as how to be responsible pet owners.

In fact, almost everyone said they were now more likely to keep their cats inside because they knew the benefits for their cat, their hip pocket and local wildlife.

One lucky participant even took home their very own catio!

GeoCatch ran the inaugural event to promote responsible pet ownership, and to help protect the Western Ringtail Possum and other native wildlife.

This event was a partnership with City of Busselton, Busselton Veterinary Hospital, Vasse Vets, Murdoch University, Katzone Cat Enclosures, SAFE Busselton and supported by South West Catchment Council ( SWCC) and National Landcare Program.

Thanks to everyone for making this a wonderful event!
