Western Ringtail Possum – vulnerable or critically endangered?

You only have until Monday, 31 July 2016 to have your say on the conservation status of the western ringtail possum.

The western ringtail possum is currently listed as ‘vulnerable’ under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Act of 1999 (EPBC Act).   However, in Western Australia it is listed as ‘critically endangered’ under the Wildlife Conservation Act of 1950.

The Threatened Species Scientific Committee wants to hear your views on including the Western Ringtail Possum on the EPBC Act threatened species list.
